Grab the kids and toodle around townThis week, I'm taking a break from any newsy news to focus on a three-part series highlighting family adventure ideas in and around Chadds Ford. I collaborated with neighbor Emma Leuschner to gather ideas. The kids/grandkids/neighbor kids/daycare kids (whatever kids you're responsible for keeping safe and well this summer) are out of school. It's a great time to explore some of the many cool places this area has to offer. The series includes two day trips well worth the 30-60 minute drive, four active outings with ideas for food before or after the adventure, and five fun and educational activities paired with snack stops. No one wants hangry family outings! Check out all three posts and add a few to your summer calendar.
I'm sure there are others I didn't include. Let me know what else you would add to the list. Local Concord Farmers' Market reminderLeaving this here as a reminder to support our local food folks this summer. π In its second year, the Concord Farmers' Market continues to grow. They have several food and produce vendors, as well as flowers, honey, candles, coffee, baked goods, fresh bread, fun drinks, and more. The market runs every Sunday from 10 am - 1 pm at Concord Township Park through August 30. BYO Bag (if you want, not required) and meet your neighbors. Walking into summer π£The next Walking Club meet-up is on June 30 at 7:30 am at Brinton Run Preserve. Details here. Put it on your calendar so you don't forget. This is our last walk before we take a summer break. βοΈ We'll skip July and August when the heat peaks and vacations are aplenty. Then we'll put our walking shoes back on after Labor Day.
